Rhylissa’s aunt and uncle (Elizabeth Flitter & Robert Fudge) introduced her to the world of gymnastics when she came to visit during the summers as a kid. She spent most of her childhood summers at East Bay and grew up with the gym as a second home.
It wasn’t until she was 10 years old that she started taking gymnastics classes at home (in Denmark). She competed at the regional level and qualified for the Danish Gymnastics Championships.
Once Rhylissa started High School she began coaching at her local gym and helped out at East Bay during the summer. After High School she took a break from the gymnastics world to pursue other ventures, went to college, found the love of her life, had 2 kids and traveled the country full time with her family. Now Rhylissa is back at East Bay as the administrative coordinator. You will probably see her at the front desk, but occasionally she will step in to help out with the preschool classes.
